Government-Hollywood Relationships
We are seeking information, from any and all sources, about close relationships between members of the entertainment industry and the United States federal government, including the military.
For example: Director Doug Liman (Mr. And Mrs. Smith, American Made) is the son of Arthur L. Liman, who served as chief counsel for the US Senate’s investigation into the Iran-Contra Affair.

Informal Government–Hollywood Collaborations
We are seeking information relating to unofficial or informal channels of influence from Washington to Hollywood. Specifically, we are collecting examples of former Federal employees, or else Federal employees acting outside of their official duties, serving as technical advisors on film and TV productions or assisting in any other way based on their professional background.
An example is the “technical advisor” credit given by the production of Arlington Road (1999) to Philip Chojnacki, a former ATF agent who was one the commanders of the Waco raid.
